Responsibilities:
- Must have the ability to complete the new hire training cycle flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications
- Use a computer in a production environment
- Look up, read, and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and/or specifications
- Install various parts and assemblies such as brackets, fittings, angles, frames, splices, etc.
- Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task you are performing
- Use various tools such as rivet gun and bucking bar, screwdrivers, lock bolt puller, power screwdriver, huck gun pullers, hi-speed and low-speed drills, pneumatic and electric drills, c-squeeze, ratchet wrench, nut runner, winslow, 90-degree power vane, or Quackenbush and various other hand tools and measuring tools
- Operate mechanical lifts of various types (e.g., JLG’s, magic carpets, and scissor lifts)
- Use chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes
- Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock e.g., circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise
- Inspect your work quality and check for FOD (foreign object debris)
- Capable of operating but not limited to, heavy machinery such as cranes stands, movers, lifts, etc.
- Inspect to insure first pass quality is attained per engineering drawings and specifications
- Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other)
- Reading from a computer screen, printed drawings or documents
- Ability to adhere to high standards of safety and compliance to regulation
- Verify and ensure FAA compliance with quality management system
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd)
- 1+ year of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, and/or fabrication
- 1+ year of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft suite and/or other specialized computer applications
- 1+ year of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to adhere to high standards of safety and compliance to regulation
- Carrying/lifting 10-35lbs
- Ability to work with high hazard chemicals
- Flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking
- Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting)
- Use of high impact vibratory tools (bucking/riveting)
Education/Experience:
- Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., high school diploma/GED and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., vocational school/assistance)
